Biography and Career:
Amanda Holden started her career in 1991 when she was a contestant at the TV show "Blind Date". We consider that date as her first appearance. However she started to study theater since 9 year old, followed by acting and English literature classes. During the past years she played in numerous TV shows, drama and comedy series and she was presenter for a variety of TV shows. Maybe, the most important event was her present at Britain's Got Talent where she is a member of the judge. Britain's Got Talent is one of the most appreciated shows in UK.
Her cinematic debut was in Philip Goodhew's black comedy "Intimate Relations" (1996) alongside with famous British stars like Julie Walters, Rupert Graves and Laura Sadler.
In 2004 she was nominated for a 2004 Laurence Olivier Theatre Award in the category of Best Actress in a Musical for her performance a West End production of "Thoroughly Modern Millie", based on the 1967 film of the same name.
